OLD PATESIANS 24 CHELTENHAM NORTH 24
CHELTENHAM NORTH played with tremendous spirit to force a draw against Old Patesians in the semi-final of the Cheltenham Combination Senior Cup at Everest Road.
But under the rules of the competition it is Pats who go through to the final against Cheltenham as they scored more tries.Pats played downhill in the first half and their try scorers were scrum-half Darren Moore, winger Rich Stevens and full-back Stuart Taylor. Fly-half Adam Seager landed two conversions.

North responded with a try from scrum-half Nelly Webber which he converted and the same player also kicked a penalty goal.

Referee Phil Watters sent Pats players Paddy Dean and Gethin Evans to the sin-bin for foul play and they were joined by North's Matt Dean as the half-time ended 19-10 in Pats favour.

After the break Pats hooker Matt Deacon went over for a catch and drive try but from then on in North took control.Their try scorers were Dave Johns and Matt Teague, while Webber and John Morrison added conversions. The scores were level with 10 minutes remaining and it took some tremendous tackling from Pats to keep North at bay.in time added on Morrison missed a difficult penalty and the final whistle sounded to the relief of the Pats players.
